                                   A little About Me

Animals are my passion. When I was little I  loved to draw. I was always doodling creatures all over my school paperwork, which got me into a lot of trouble. My friends were constantly having me show them how to draw horses, which were my favorite. Animals were a big part of my childhood. I have always had animals in my life. They are true friends,  someone you could go to when you needed an ear to listen and they are forever dependent on your kindness and love. That love would be the fuel for my art later on.

In high school I had a really awesome art teacher that took me under her wing and taught me how to develop my talent, for this I will be forever grateful to her. I had four pieces of my artwork sell at Ducks Unlimited Benifit Auctions each year in high school. A piece of my artwork was selected into the top tewnty-five in the State of Ohio, which was displayed in the State Office Tower in Columbus for one month. Chris M. Bunn (my art teacher) helped to receive many awards throughout high school.

When I graduated high school  I was accepted to Savannah College of Art and  Design studied art for the next 4 years in Savannah, Georgia. For a country girl, city life was a big change and a great experience that I will never forget. I discovered a wonderful city, and earned a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts.

After graduating I moved back to Ohio. The next eight years I did artwork on commission while working in a nursing facility. I kind of lost sight of my goals for a while, but never lost the passion to create art or my love for animals. So I decided to put them both together and see what happens. I am now a member of the Knox County Art League and a previous member of the Licking County Art League, and  I have participated in numerous shows for each league. I have entered the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Show for the past five years and have had numerous pieces accepted to thier show.

While I still do many pieces of artwork on commission, animals are my passion and through my pieces I can express my love for them. When you view my artwork you will see all the beauty in nature and the passion I have for all of Gods wonderful creatures.

Thank for taking the time to look at my pieces.  Please feel free to leave your comments and sign my guest book.
